Google Translate was once the best translation tool, but it is fairly poor nowadays. Google doesn't invest into it.
DeepL, too, was once technically superior. However, the company has focused on enterprise features over technical capabilities, and even tools like ChatGPT beat it now.
Nuenki is singularly focused on translation quality. We use modern, proprietary techniques to provide translation that far exceeds DeepL, Google Translate, and commercially available LLMs like ChatGPT. If you want natural and accurate translation, use Nuenki; if you need particular enterprise features that Nuenki doesn't offer, you should probably use DeepL instead.
Anyone who is interested in excellent translations, from individuals using the web translator to companies internationalising their products, or developers using the API.
Yes! Nuenki never stores or logs your translations, and your data is not used to train AI models.
Nuenki started out as a language learning browser extension. It translates sentence at your knowledge level into the language you're learning, so you're immersed while you browse. That's available at nuenki.app as a free trial and subscription model.
While researching LLM translation techniques for Nuenki we discovered several breakthroughs, which we have applied to Nuenki Platform, a pay-per-usage translation service and API that's at this website, platform.nuenki.app.
While the two websites look similar, the accounts are different. You cannot use a Nuenki Extension account with Nuenki Platform, or vice versa, although Nuenki Extension subscribers receive limited access to Nuenki Translate's online translation utility through their subscription (available at nuenki.app/translate).
The Nuenki extension uses Fast Translate internally.
Your account comes with 10 USD free credit, though we ask that you please don't make multiple accounts to try to abuse this.
Yes! We have a web-based translation utility, similar to the one available on the homepage.
The full list is available in the documentation.
The two tools have different objectives, which influence their design tradeoffs.
The deep translator is designed to provide the most reliable, natural, and accurate translation possible. In order to achieve this, it takes longer to return its answer and costs more to use.
The fast translator is designed to provide excellent translation, at a much reduced latency and price. It tends to produce accurate translations that are less natural sounding, while still far exceeding the capabilities of competitors like DeepL, ChatGPT, and Google Translate.
Nuenki handles all money in terms of "nanodollars", with one billion nanodollars in a standard dollar. This is in order to ensure precision in pricing, without rounding unexpectedly increasing or decreasing the amount you pay. You don't have to worry about this unless you're using the API, in which case we recommend converting the API responses to your preferred format.
